Testimonial

“Hi there, Esli!

Many thanks for all your help and guidance! I am absolutely thrilled with my new garden, and I will take very good care of it from now on, I promise!!

You have incredible vision to have imagined all this from what you were given to work with. You are brilliant!! All my neighbours now want to come see what you have done with the inside garden, too, so I’m sure you will get future business from them, too. I will most definitely recommend you and hand out your contact details to everyone I know!!

Please thank Mike, too, for all his contributions and staff management. He was a superstar, too! The dogs will miss him popping in now!

I’m sure I will see you again soon, but in the meantime – thanks again for ALL, and it was an absolute pleasure working with you and your team!!

The Design Stages:

STAGE 1

Consultation & Brief Stage

Every successful residential garden or landscape begins with understanding your vision, lifestyle, and the unique qualities of your site. During the initial consultation and site visit, we explore your aspirations, assess the garden’s potential, and identify opportunities and constraints.

We gather essential information on:

  • garden orientation and microclimate

  • soil conditions

  • existing hard and soft landscape features

  • how you interact with your outdoor spaces

We also discuss your project budget, ensuring the design aligns with your financial expectations and guiding realistic solutions.

Following the consultation, a written brief summarises your goals, the design process, fees, and project scope — forming the foundation for a bespoke garden proposal.

STAGE 2

Concept Design Stage

Once the brief is approved, a topographical survey records site dimensions, levels, and existing features. Using this data, we develop a unique concept design tailored to your garden, which may include:

  • 2D layout drawings

  • planting palettes

  • mood boards

  • optional 3D computer-generated images

At this stage, the focus is on overall layout and design vision rather than technical details. We review the concept with you and, where appropriate, with other professionals such as architects or planning consultants.

STAGE 3

Developed Design Stage

The chosen concept evolves into a fully resolved masterplan, integrating both hard and soft landscape elements, spatial arrangements, circulation, and garden functionality.

The developed design includes:

  • detailed layout plans

  • recommendations for pathways, terraces, walls, water features, and other structural elements

  • proposed planting palettes with species selection, character, and seasonal interest

  • outline specifications for key materials, furniture, and landscape features

Coordination with architects, planners, and engineers ensures the design is coherent, buildable, and aligned with planning requirements. This stage prepares the project for technical design and construction documentation.

PHASE 4

Technical Design Stage

We create detailed technical drawings for construction, including:

  • setting out plans and cross-sections

  • lighting and irrigation layouts

  • planting plans and plant/specimen schedules

  • construction details for contractors and structural engineers

We source the finest plant specimens from UK and European nurseries and collaborate with specialist craftspeople to develop bespoke features. This ensures the design is precisely realised during construction.

PHASE 5

Build Stage

During the build stage, we work with trusted contractors, craftsmen, and artisans to bring your garden design to life.

Our involvement includes:

  • overseeing construction quality, budget, and programme

  • setting out soft landscape elements (trees, shrubs, perennials, hedges, topiary)

  • coordinating adjustments and problem-solving on site

  • ensuring every detail is delivered to the highest standard

We can work with client-chosen contractors or recommend trusted teams with a proven track record of excellence.

Services include:

  • plant growth and garden health monitoring

  • pruning, seasonal planting adjustments, pest and disease management

  • irrigation and soil care

  • detailed maintenance schedules for you or your gardening team

We aim to maintain the beauty, functionality, and sustainability of your garden for years to come.
